Meyers Homestead History Snowshoe Hike

March 29 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us the morning of Friday, March 29, for a two-hour guided snowshoe hike on the Meyers Homestead Trail, part of the Walker Ranch Open Space property.

Walker Ranch was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, with the boundaries extended in 1988 to include the Meyers Homestead. The ranch is the largest designated historic cultural landscape in Colorado.

We will learn about the ranching families that settled in the area, how they lived, and what made their life high above Boulder so unique.

Our snowshoe hike will be led by Historic Boulder member Eric Malmborg, owner and founder of Bolder Adventure Travel based here in Boulder.  A former instructor and course director with the Colorado Outward Bound School and former high school history teacher, Eric guides hiking, cycling, snowshoeing, and history tours of Boulder.

The fee is $10 for Historic Boulder members and $20 for general admission. Email director@historicboulder.org to reserve your spot and receive details. Limited to 20 participants. (If snow conditions aren’t sufficient for snowshoeing, we will hike the trail.)
