Music and Counterculture: The 1960s and 1970s on University Hill
June 12 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Join us for a unique one-hour walking tour of the University Hill Commercial District, hosted by Historic Boulder and the Colorado Music Experience. We’ll travel back over 50 years to the counterculture of the 1960s with music historian G. Brown and Carol Taylor, Director of Historic Boulder. You’ll be amazed by stories of early rock and roll, traveling musicians, alternative businesses, riots, and 3.2 beer as we stroll by the iconic sites of The Hill including Tulagi, The Sink, Beach Park, Albums on the Hill, and other significant historical spots. We’ll conclude in the ‘Rat Room’ of The Sink where attendees will enjoy lemonade and receive a complimentary copy of Colorado’s Rock Chronicles by G. Brown!
