This year – Sunday October 9, 2022 the Spirits will rise for one day only!
A beloved tradition in Boulder since 1986, biennially in even numbered years, Historic Boulder, Inc. presents “Meet the Spirits” in the Columbia Cemetery. Come travel back in time and get to know some of Boulder’s dearly departed permanent “residents” of the Cemetery portrayed by community volunteers through engaging and costumed presentations. Meet the Spirits is an interactive way to learn about Boulder’s history and preservation of the cemetery. Come young and old and connect with our town’s story on a personal level.
Fourth Graders get in free in support of Colorado History Studies!
The event is sponsored by the Boulder Parks & Recreation Department and the Play Foundation with support from the SCFD. Thank you to our generous business sponsors: Winter & Co., the Natural Funeral, Long’s Iris Gardens, The Ritz, Blackwood & Company and the University Hill Neighborhood Association.
All funds raised benefit Historic Boulder’s programs and the Play Foundation’s fund to maintain and improve the Columbia Cemetery.
