For Preservation Month, Historic Boulder, Inc. presents a FREE lecture and slide-show program by Peter Pollock, FAICP, on

The Streets of Boulder

What their origins and names tell us about our history

Streets give shape to a city and in many ways define its character.  As with Boulder’s mountain setting, its parks and open spaces, its buildings and trees, streets help make Boulder, Boulder.   As the city grew, streets were  platted, engineered and named (and sometimes renamed).  From the “Frontier Town” to the “City Beautiful” and on to the “Post WWII Boomtown,” how did Boulder’s streets develop over time, and what do they tell us about our history and ourselves?

Free and open to the public – space is limited so please RSVP Here
